Hi, I'm Nicolas. I use cutting-edge frameworks or vanilla JavaScript to build powerful web applications. Berliner since 2011, I am fluent in German and English, but my mother tongue is French.

My career as a developer started at the digital agency Neofonie. I learned a tremendous number of technical things, but more importantly, how to work efficiently within a team of developers following agile principles and methodologies. I then moved to the blockchain specialist Diginex where I got acquainted with the challenges of developing for a fast-paced start-up. I then worked for the well-established health platform Shop Apotheke, where I built software at scale.

Enriched by these various experiences, I joined go-e, where I could put into practice all I had learned so far to architech, develop, launch and maintain the new corporate website while getting increasingly involved in communicating with external stakeholders and providing support to new joiners and junior developers.

With an educational background in the humanities – M.A. in European Literatures – I find essential and very enjoyable to share my knowledge with fellow developers. I highly value pair programming sessions within my team. I also taught front end programming skills to a few students.

• Neofonie2018 - 2019

  At Neofonie, I worked primarily for mobile.de within a team of three developers and one product owner. I contributed to three projects:

  • Migration of a multi-steps ad-insertion form to a modern React app.
  • Creation, maintenance and optimization of Google favorites landing pages (top 3 Google results in Germany for keywords related to selling vehicles).

Side projects:

• Neomory2019-2020

  • Learn the names of your colleages in this 3D game where you earn points by selecting quickly the image of the person whose name appears at the bottom of the screen. Add your own avatar to the game with an interactive form.
  • The project started during a hackaton at neofonie. I introduced later new features such as best score and user management.

• Collaborative Whiteboard2018

  • Exchange ideas on a whiteboard in real-time. I built this app to interact with my pupils and students while giving French and German lessons on Skype.
  • As it is designed for educational purposes, simplicity and security are essential: the set of functions is limited to prevent distraction and every room can be secured by password.

• Autotradearly 2018

  • Translate snippsets of code from a set of translations. It can very easily translate HTML pages and tables that are otherwise very time consuming to work on.
  • Sets of simple pairs of translation are at the heart of this project: you can add new ones easily, save special sets for future use, and reuse them.

  • This web app offers offline functionality, so you can add it to the homescreen and play everywhere!
  • It is my very first project, written with ES5 JavaScript and jQuery. In other words, the code is a mess, but I am still very proud of what I could achieve back then with my limited knowledge. And the gameplay is pretty cool.
